.......Nieuw decennium........

 

Afgelopen zondag samen met Annemieke naar Rotterdam geweest. Gewoon weer eens samen weg. Dwars door Rotterdam gereden en spontaan door mijn verleden gereden. Na dik 40 jaar weer in Rotterdam-Schiebroek. De plek waar mijn Middelbare School stond. De Peppelweg, Argonautenweg en de Olijflaan gezien, plekken die natuurlijk veranderd zijn. Zeven jaar deed ik over de Middelbare School, best lang. Het was niet mijn mooiste tijd, maar met een glimlach reden we langs zeilvereniging ‘Aegir’ in Hillegersberg, waar ik zo super genoten heb van zeilen op de Voorplas en ik mijn schooltijd kon vergeten. Daarna lunchen in Delfshaven. Ik besef dat we te weinig tijd voor elkaar maken. Zo goed dat we dit doen. Het is gewoon een gezellige ochtend.

 

Gisteren ons laatste ziekenhuisbezoek van 2019. Voor zeven uur ‘s morgens zitten we al in de auto. Samen met mijn dochter. Vandaag belangrijk om te checken of mijn bloedplaatjes goed zijn. Het is toch een gekkenhuis bij het bloedprikken. Het geeft altijd wat stress, bang dat de bloeduitslag niet op tijd bij je oncoloog is. Mijn bloedplaatje is in principe goed, maar de HB-waarde in mijn bloed is te laag. Deze waarde wil niet boven de 5.0 uitkomen. De reeds geplande bloedtransfusie gaat door, vooral om de rode bloedcellen in mijn bloed aan te sterken. De lage HB-waarde verklaart mijn vermoeidheid, maar daar heb ik al vaker over geschreven. Ik mag drie uur zitten om twee zakjes bloed via het infuus toegediend te krijgen. Het is weer een hele zit en ik voel me altijd een beetje schuldig naar degene die mee gaat, want die moet er toch weer bij zitten. Mijn dochter gaat even de stad in, zodat ik rustig voor me uitstaar en me afvraag wat 2019 nu eigenlijk voor een jaar is geweest……

 

Alles wat je maar kan bedenken zat in 2019, ons leven stond op z’n kop : we zijn verhuisd; ons nieuwe appartement verbouwd; veel naar de notaris geweest; ons oude kantoorpand verbouwd tot woning en verhuurd; veel opgeruimd; gestopt met werken [ natuurlijk veel te vroeg ]; rollercoaster van het ziekenhuis. Samen met het gezin een super toffe reis naar New York gemaakt in april. Maar ik besef ook dat ik daar nog 12 kilometer per dag kon lopen dwars door Manhattan en nu dik zes maanden later is mijn conditie helaas sterk achteruit gegaan en ben ik soms na honderd meter lopen al moe. Mijn gezondheid heeft zeker een klap achteruit gekregen sinds augustus toen allerlei middelen de kanker niet meer tegen hielden. Het was een heftig jaar met soms een spiraal omlaag, maar ook veel mensen om me heen die me op de been hielden. De liefde van mijn gezin is zo sterk, dat de wil om te leven de balans positief houdt. 2019 wil ik vergeten om er in het nieuwe decennium – de ‘roaring twenties’- iets heel moois van te maken met jullie allemaal. Op naar 2020 ! Iedereen een heel mooi, liefdevol en vooral gezond 2020 !
